Cleaning | Comprehensive Exam | Flouride Treatment | Oral Cancer Screening
The American Dental Association recommends you see your dentist every six months. Preventive dental care can help you reduce or avoid future costs by preventing and finding potential issues sooner. Because many diseases and conditions first show signs in your mouth, good dental health and a strong relationship with your dental office are important steps in your overall health
The doctor will review all findings and discuss possible treatment options to help you achieve the smile you deserve.
Fluoride can be an important part of preventing tooth decay in patients of all ages. During your visit, we will determine your risk for dental decay by discussing your diet, home care, previous decay history, illnesses and prescription medications. Fluoride treatment can be done in the office, or at home.
In the office: Treatment can be done during your regular exam using a tray with gel or foam fluoride. A more highly concentrated fluoride varnish that is brushed onto your teeth can also be used.
At home: Options for fluoride treatment include prescription toothpastes or a daily rinse. It is important to follow all recommendations made by your dentist and to also be aware of the fluoride levels in your water.
Oral cancer can be life-threatening if not diagnosed and treated early. Meadow Lake Dental Care provides oral cancer screenings as part of your regular dental exam. There are two main risk factors for oral cancer. Smoking and tobacco use are long-term historic causes of oral cancer. In addition, the HPV-16 virus, a sexually-transmitted disease, is resulting in the fastest-growing segment of oral cancer patients being young, healthy, nonsmoking individuals.
When found early, oral cancers have an 80 to 90 percent survival rate. Dentists can be a first line of defense in identifying abnormalities in the mouth, which could be a sign of oral cancer.

The doctor was very professional examining and providing with solutions by priority. The staff was great made me feel comfortable. Highly recommend!
I've been a patient at Meadow Lake Dental Care for several years now, first with Dr. Rickard, and now with Dr. Kuebler. I go in for cleanings and exams religiously every six months - not because I am obsessed with oral health, but because I feel like I'm hanging out with friends while I am there! Hygienist KiLee and I laugh and trade stories about our pets (as much as we can with her fingers in my mouth, that is) and she doesn't "floss shame" me for not flossing enough (even though I know that I deserve it.) She answers my questions about dental products, brushing, and flossing techniques with a smile, and she always has a new toothbrush to send home with me. Dr. Kuebler is a competent, well trained dentist who I trust imminently - he always lets me know when there are issues, and if they need to be addressed right away, or if I can hold off for a while due to cash flow. He too is patient with my numerous questions, and will help me make the best decisions possible when it comes to my oral health. His passion and enthusiasm for his work is obvious - he is always smiling, and appears to be legitimately happy to see his patients when they come in. The front desk staff is AMAZING in the way they handle insurance and payment issues. They've helped me work out payment plans when I was uninsured, and they've kept on the insurance company when they didn't want to pay for certain treatments. They recognize me when I come in, and are always happy to see me. I can't believe how much I like this dental office. I cannot recommend them enough. Make an appointment today for a cleaning and exam - I guarantee you'll want to stay with the practice.
I just left this office and am pleasantly shocked. In all my years of dental problems this office is unlike all the rest. For the first time in over 30 years I enjoyed my dental visit. It has been 7 years since my last exam- yes, 7. I have had root canals, wisdom teeth pulled, you name it. I was done with the dentist. My friend Rachael told me to go just try this one. (It was when I was bashing the dental field in general one conversation and she loved Dr. Ryan so much she had to stop my anti-dentist remarks) and she was right! I have children that will have to see a dentist soon so it was time for Mommy to make an appointment. I spoke with Christy (or is it Kristy with a K?) on the phone to make my appointment. Christy was kind, patient and answered my crazy questions. Jessica greeted me when I walked in- a first appointment bright and early - and she did it with a smile. Jessica and Christy made me feel so welcomed. That is rare at doctor offices! Then the doctors assistant KiLee- oh man she was the best! KiLee had to see my nasty mouth first. She took the X-rays and did the cleaning. She was gentle and very good at communicating. I think i talked her ear off about my dog and kiddos but she knew it helped me stay calm. These three women need raises cause they had me all calm and ready to see Dr. Ryan. Dr. Ryan does look young but the man is knowledgeable! He did the exam and worked on a treatment plan with KiLee. Then when I left, Jessica and Christy gave me my paperwork, quote of benefits, free toothbrush goodies and took my payment. I am returning to have my wisdom teeth removed and some cavities filled. Everyone was professional, nobody tried to upsell anything and they take my insurance! It was the first time dental care was affordable for me. And I was a new patient! I highly recommend Christy, Jessica, KiLee and Dr. Ryan. Thank you Meadow Lake Dental!
